chasing shadows again

{September 28, 2007}   I love you!!! Smile!!!

Once again I searches the Internets for chocolate and cute to make my Ravyn smile.

Chocolate Pirate from Drink Mixer:
1 1/2 oz Bacardi 151 Rum
1 oz Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
1 oz Milk
2 scoops Chocolate Ice Cream
***Mix in blender until smooth and serve in a chilled wine goblet.***

Chocolate Bytes! A chocolate blog! Find more pirate chocolate madness!

If I could ever get behind a $10.00 bar of chocolate, I think this might be it! In Conneticut there is this guy named Fritz Knipschildt and he is clearly a genius. Check out his burnt carmel and Hawaiian sea salt chocolate bar at chocolate.com or check out his place Chocopologie where you can buy that same delicious chocolate combination in truffle form!

Witch Crossing Chocolate Bar – I don’t even have anything to add to that!

Love Hurts! Heart Shaped Jalapeno Dark Chocolate Truffles! I think those chocolates are like the statement of the year! Give them to that special person you hate to love or love to hate for Valentines Day!

Mistletoe Man Magnet Chocolate Bar – I could say something, but I can’t beat their text! “Hold strategically above head and standby for action. NOTE: Individual results may vary.”

Another reason to move to where you are…. Cacao

And in closing…chocolate kitten!

I am tagged by Ashish for TWO memes!!! This is the most excitement I’ve had in…okay, not in ages, but I’ll update about my life in another post!

The first meme is the dreaded 8 things meme!

  1. I actually like being tagged for memes – probably because it happens so rarely (and because I always got picked last for dodgeball).
  2. My favorite color depends on my mood – either dark purple or green like sunlight filtering through oak leaves. One reminds of my goddess and the other reminds me of life.
  3. I have been to Japan and not climbed Mt. Fuji – which I hear means I am destined to go back (until I climb the mountain). That is actually very good for me because the area near Fuji has a.) my favorite place to stay, b.) lavender ice ice cream, and c.) really good blueberry wine. Fuji is my favorite mountain in the world, and the thought that somehow it has imprinted this imperative to return on my soul makes me deliriously happy.
  4. I love rum. Notably Stroh 80 and Captain Morgan Private Stock.
  5. I really, really, really need to get a collar. I miss having one, I like the feel of them on my throat. There is a deranged part of me that wants a cat collar with a bell, just to drive everyone mad. However, more likely is something like this.
  6. I want a hedgehog. This is irrational and entirely because of Tamsin by Peter S. Beagle. He also wrote The Last Unicorn. Tamsin is better. I still shudder when I read it.
  7. I feel especially sexy in lingerie and heeled boots. This has become my traditional New Year’s Eve party outfit. This year I would also like to wear a top hat. I believe that this will be absolutely wonderful – but I have to get back to the East Coast AND lose 20 pounds. [Ravyn (I already know what you’ll say)-yes, I know that, but I’m talking about walking around in lingerie. If I fail to lose 20 pounds, I will simply have to wear a corset. And a top hat. Actually, I might like that outfit better….]
  8. I love pomegranates.

Meme #2 is this odd food meme!

The second meme tells me to list out my top 5 places to eat at my location. But first I have to link folks who tagged me with their location and add mine to that.

Ashish (Dead Man’s Alley, Imperial Crater, Mars) [Yes I’m an alien.. Hello! Only aliens get world conquering dreams, ok? {Am I turning Malaysian or what!}]

fox (Hawai’i) likes to eat in these places (among many, many others):

  1. Ken’s House of Pancakes [Hilo, HI] (because at least one place should be where I live now)
  2. Paper Moon Diner [Baltimore, MD] (their webpage makes me so very amused)
  3. Jaleo [Bethesda, MD was my favorite location] (love their sangria and well…everything-if you’ve never has Spanish tapas, you must try them)
  4. Pellegrino’s [New York, NY] (Amazing!!!)
  5. Amalfi [Rockville, MD] (great place for a date!)

I tag Jayna, freckledfaerie, Molli, blackflame, corielena, that Dryad girl who may or may not have a blog, um…my Ravyn just got tagged…ah…I so need more friends that will tolerate me tagging them. Taking volunteers!

🙂

Good morning! I am already mid-projects and just doing a quick update. There is much-much-much I want to do and too little time. But…just to teach people tempting me is bad, here is some more playful pirate madness!

Also considering the number of people who get here by searching for all manner of zombies (including cute zombies! I know I’m looking for a precious, rotting, reanimated corpse that feasts on human flesh, myself….) we are overdue some zombie madness too. Lots of things should be done! But for now we cue the playful pirate madness~~~>

Pirate underwear? I went on a quick internet romp to check for some options.
These red and white feminine spin off boy briefs are pretty cute. The black and white from the same site offer the same style with a few more image options.
Loot! These totally make me giggle. Totally, totally make me giggle.

This may be blamed on the very same drugs that inspired the cute zombie thoughts…?

Mmmmmmm…playful, delightful, well worth some poking through.
Coincidentally, my mother and I watched the relevant episode of Wifeswap (the only one I’ve ever seen, I promise) and wow. Just…wow. But ‘piratitude’ is actually used in our family vocabulary. For example last night, just before my mother and I watched Pirates of the Caribbean (CotBP/the first one) she called up the stairs, “yeah, I’m ready. What about you?”-slight pause-“Got your piratitude?” To which I replied that I could change my underwear, but wasn’t feeling the need. Sometimes, my house is entertainment. Generally of the Springer variety.

And, 12:00noon is in six minutes, so to make the deadline of morning…for the moment at least…ciao.  Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I went shopping today! Several cute things were brought home, including jeans (I so needed pants) and a semi-formal shirt (I so need to apply for a job) but also in the more exciting two things feature pirates!

One is this shirt!

Pirate Shirt

The other is (as one must have guessed) underwear – specifically pink stripy underwear with a shiny pirate who has a rose on it!

Pirate Underwear

Yes – you needed to know that under the yummy jeans, my underwear will match the pirate theme. Perhaps I should get a pirate patch for the jeans. We shall see.

In slightly related news, I saw an show on treasure hunting. So…likely a pirates and treasure themed romp is upcoming.
